My secret for doing realism is to draw every single detail in, that means every single fur too Takes longer, but much worth the effort. Also it's eaiser to draw in pen, once you mastered not making any critical mistakes you'll be able to do much finer detail work Also may attention to contrast, contrast is what makes the picture pop out of the paper/computer screen
